Scarlett Duty is a graphic designer based in Gainesville, FL. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Mass Communications at the University of Florida. Her work exemplifies her skills in user interaction design, branding, print, and social media. Her design philosophy is guided by the idea that good design is accessible and facilitates synergy between people and design systems.
Currently, Scarlett works as a graphic designer for E-Learning, Technology, and Communications at the University of Florida College of Education. She collaborates with a variety of departments, institutions, and centers within the COE to produce print works such as flyers, banners, booklets, and brochures. Scarlett also serves as a communications chair for Vox Graphis, the UF student graphic design club. She works closely with her fellow communications chairs to craft appealing social media posts and manage the club’s direct messages. Previously, she was a print and web designer for Vox’s Ligature design committee. For this role, she assisted in creating a seamless connection between the design symposium’s print catalogue and website.
In her spare time, Scarlett enjoys reading classic novels, watching movies with her partner, Thomas, and playing with her two cats, Hobo Joe and Phoebe.
